The Redcar beacon is a hit!

A LANDMARK tourist attraction and centre piece for a seaside town's £75m regeneration project has received its 100,000th visitor.

The 80ft Redcar Beacon welcomed Angela Herriott to reach the milestone, less than four months after Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council first opened its doors. Mrs Herriott, a retired classroom assistant, was accompanied by husband, Keith, both from Billingham, and their granddaughters Lara, 13, and Lexi, 10.
