Jane Gallogly and Ian Woodcock set up Seasons in 2007. They both have a long history of working within hospitality; Jane has worked in hospitality management in many visitor attractions such as Castle Howard, The National Railway Museum and The Sage Gateshead and Ian trained as a chef at the George V in Paris and Grosvenor House London and worked at The Baltic in Gateshead, Alnwick Treehouse, Harewood House and had his own business at The Merchant Taylors Hall in York.
The vision for Seasons was to open cafes in visitor attractions in the North of England which offer a casual dining experience using local suppliers and offering a range of Seasonal specials and events. Also, loose leaf tea and excellent organic freshly ground coffee.
The first cafe to open was in the newly renovated Station in Richmond. This fantastic building houses two cinema screens, an art gallery on the mezzanine floor, food production units and in the heart of the building, the 150 seat Seasons café.
In 2010 the second cafe opened in the town centre of Darlington just near the indoor market. Seasons Darlington has a fantastic carvery on each and every day as well as the usual Seasons menu.
Easter 2013 was the opening of the thirds Seasons cafe, in an amazing landmark building on Redcar seafront, The Beacon.
Seasons also operates outside catering in any venue.
